Thumbs up at TEDx

An extensive collection of 1.100 shows on the infamous TEDx conference are brought together in a free app, that creates your own speaker library to listen to their performances, offline as well as online. The suggestions of the editorial staff bring you new subjects and speakers, based on preferences. New video content is uploaded weekly, and new content is being created at the same time on TEDx stages worldwide.

It will be interesting to see if the TEDx formula will be able to consistently keep the high quality that drew so many people to their stages in their startup years. The app shows that their strategy is complete in sync with time, since omnipresence is the way to go. But the designers of this app forgot to pay attention to the informative side of the content: no info on the speakers or the subjects next to the keynote video. Although it seems a bit to single-layered, the total app presents quite some good experiences, and when you arrive at The Clock where the staff fills your half-an-hour-lunch with your personalized theme, thumbs go up!
