Do Dino's have lips?

It sure is a smart move to give app users the opportunity to choose for a character themselves and develop a relationship with the dinosaur of their choice. Getting social with dinosaurs!

Add the narratives that are used as storytelling basics and you’ll understand why we liked getting into this at Triggertales HQ. In the execution little gestures the design (buttons as stones!) communicate that the team had fun producing this application, which is the best way to create a good vibe in the users experience. It’s a pity they weren’t consistent into the deeper layers.

The publishing company of Touchpress is a small but productive cell in London, app dedicated, making ‘inspiring apps for curious minds’. Their storytelling app about dinosaurs, is trying to create an image of the creatures that were living on this planet millions of years ago. March of the Dinosaurs is an educating app, full of film, audio and written narratives and is for sale in the App Store for € 1,99.

The clear focus of the producers of the app lead to an inviting product with a clear interface: simple and comprehensible. Users can make a choice between following a chronological, well presented story with a lead character, Patch, Scar the Edmontosaur, or choose to take the wheel yourself and find your way through 3D-models and movies, or learn through the well stored information.

If your content is treated the way Touchpress does, you can be sure your company will make new friends. And not just consumers, but B2B as well. The concept makes it easy to see it filled with other content, for different companies. Off course, a zoo would be easy, but we can see many more possibilities, like in the technical field.

Like the voice-over says: “If Dinosaurs had lips, they’d be licking them...” Good fun in Dino world for a good price!
